This year the virtual sales sum will make one billion dollars – this is according to previous calculations of BBC. The virtual sales products include online games, virtual presents – everything that does not exist in offline.
Expenditures on virtual products will double in 2009 in comparison with year 2008. Furthermore, this sum will again double in 2010. This shows a global tendency of living in the web. The statistics is based on the BBC calculations on the USA area.
Virtual products are of primary importance for those who play games online and constantly use social networks like Facebook, Myspace.
For some games people spend much real money to buy web money. Also for some countries of Asian audience there is a special system of payment – monthly subscription, that is payment on a monthly basis.
